~listening to~ ♥️🌿 I just barely started a new audiobook called Dream of Kings by Sharon Hinck. It’s a perfect listen on my riding lawnmower. I have wedding programs to work on later so I will probably listen to more! I heard about this free choice in the Audible Plus catalog if you have an Audible account from the lovely Booktuber, Emily

~watching~♥️🌿 I really want to try the 1995 ‘Little Princess’ movie! 🎥 I’ve only seen the Shirley Temple version. It just came in from the library so hopefully my kids and I can watch it soon. I’m loosely participating in The Hardest Reading Challenge You’ll Ever Do 3.0😆😂, so I enjoyed watching the announcement for that, too. Albeit she’s very opinionated, just FYI. 🤣😬😅

•reading•♥️🌿~ my mood is still somewhat 😆nonfiction, and I finished up the YRE of Radium Girls (fantastic) and Do Something Beautiful for God (gorgeous!), but I feel a shift to cozy? stories. I did read one of the Great Mouse Detective stories on my deck the other night. Our weather went from boiling and smokey to gorgeous and cool! 😍 I’m most interested in finishing up my reread of Sense & Sensibility and continuing Jane Austen’s Bookshelf. I’m currently very intrigued by Artifact by Gigi Pandian (so far some language) and starting The Pink Motel by Carol Ryrie Brink! The truth is I have SO many good sounding books on my physical and kindle stacks. 🙃😍♥️📚 I’ve been ordering picture books from library because most of ours are packed away. It’s been fun to curl on my bed and read these with my youngest three. I find this gals recommendations are overall GREAT!

~noticing~♥️🌿 the details for my daughter’s wedding are slowly coming together! It’s getting close! 😱😭😍 I’m struggling staying with some of my rhythms and habits that are helpful, so trying to ease back into them for my sanity. However, trying not to guilt trip myself either. I’m finally feeling the school planning shift. Making some lists and poking around on websites. Love looking at book recommendations! Where do you look most for homeschool inspiration? ♥️

  4. Well, it’s not Wednesday…but I never seem to have time to comment…today I do have time So:

    Listening to… mostly this week it’s been the crows (who don’t seem to mind the heat) and my children rough-housing (the 8 & 5 year old are especially vigorous).

    Yesterday, I did listen to some music while cooking (mostly some old Newsboys but there was some Forest Frank and Josiah Queen tossed in to).

    I don’t typically listen to audiobooks because then I won’t know when the “Calvin and Hobbs” duo are about to do something medieval (that would be my 8 & 5 year old).

    watching…too much You-Tube shorts! But, last weekend the girls and I finished “Seeking Persephone” which we all really enjoyed. Then, I shared with them the Kate Beckinsale version of “Emma”. We all enjoyed that (well I already knew I liked it). Last weekend, hubby took our son hiking/camping so we had a girly movie night!

    Reading…a whole stack! Wednesday I finished “Winnie-the-Pooh” a perfect Summer re-read. Then yesterday, I finished “Never Give In” (a Churchill biography) by Stephen Mansfield and loved that (will be assigning that to my oldest).

    Currently my stack of reading are:

    “The Thursday Murder Club” (first time reading this one), “The Children of the New Forest” by Marryat (also first time), “Ways of the Wood Folk” by William Long (also first time), “God has a Name” by Comer (first time read), “Devotions” by Mary Oliver (Poetry collection and some are new to me and some are not), “84 Charing Cross Road”, “A Philosophy of Education” by Mason, and “Minds More Awake” by Anne White (all 3 new to me reads), and if I need more fiction I have the next volume of “Emma M. Lion” (which for me is vol. #6).

    I also have my back-ups if I get bored or want to rest from the above reads…

    “The Blythe’s Are Quoted” by Montgomery, “Once Upon A Summer” by Oke (re-read), “Home Education in Modern English” (Charlotte Mason & a re-read), “Home of Our Hearts” by Jones (re-read), “Silent Spring” by Carson (I think a re-read…)…and so many more I want to read….

    Noticing…how much I need to work on myself, for myself, and for my family. I guess a Summer of some self-inspection!

    1. Comment on any ‘ole day 😅♥️! I absolutely love this! Your stack size sounds like mine! 😆📚I love hearing about all that you and your kids are reading! I happen to be prereading Founding Mothers to see if it will work for my oldest student! ♥️😍 I don’t preread a ton anymore because we use some of the same books we’ve loved, but my oldest I’m trying to more so our discussions narrations are better! ♥️
