There is wonder all around us…📚☕️♥️🌿🌲🌻
Listening… Johnny Cash – there’s a bit of truth for life I can pull out of this classic. Thinking on it. The things IN my heart are what come out.
Reading… Personal Recollections of Joan of Arc by Mark Twain. I’m interested in the history, but the portrayal of Joan is hard to swallow. So saintly she’s a bit bland? 😅 The writing is very flowery which I normally kind of like, but not loving it here. I’m going to see how much I can do by the end of this week and possibly attend Zoom discussion. Has anyone else read this?
Watching… I know very little about the Italian Renaissance. This was a fascinating chat about the history and some nonfiction book recommendations.
Noticing…the shift in the feel of the seasons – the crispness, golden-brown tinge, and gold fields against the blue sky. 🌾🌻☁️🌞🩵💙🤍

What are you listening to, reading, watching, and noticing? 🧡🤎🤍🩵💙
I’ve been listening to myself playing the piano. Daughter Lise bought me a refurbished iPad, and I bought the forScore app. The app scans music and turns it into a PDF file. The backlit display makes it possible for me to see the notes. Over two years ago the sight in one eye was damaged by AMD, Age related Macular Degeneration. It has been so much fun to play again.

The vegetable garden, very suddenly, embraced fall. Our county fair just ended. It always comes with a nostalgia for when my kids were still at home especially ion their teen years when the fair became about socializing. It was so sweet.

My daughter is reading Joan of Arc right now. She is enjoying it, but she said it has been a slow read for her. I’ll have to ask her if she thinks Joan is too saintly! 😉

I mean I know she achieved sainthood 😂, but the way Twain wrote her was just a little too robotic?! perfect?! etc? I really am interested in her story and the history, but not sure I love Twain’s take.
