“Purposeful giving is not as apt to deplete one’s resources: it belongs to that natural order of giving that seems to renew itself even in the act of depletion. The more one gives, the more one has to give – like milk in the breast.”

What a beautiful way of looking at giving. How could I have read “Gift From the Sea” years ago and missed this? Renewal in the act of depletion. Is this the act of relying on Him? Yes, much to think about.

I know. I’m thinking on it as well…I want to reread Gift from the Sea now. As I’m pondering this, I’ve been finishing up Ourselves book 2 with ladies from Nancy Kelly’s class and wow, some really good things alongside this to think on. Thanks for stopping by, friend.
